the long summer

Summer is notoriously the season most disliked by photographers.  Dawn is too early (by far) and the daylight is far too harsh to take pictures with subtle colours and detailed shadows.  That limits your photo taking hours to not very many at all.

But its not all bad news.  I love contrasting light for abstract shots and you can travel quite far after work before the evening light fades.

Admittedly my photography dipped over the summer months but the onsetting autumn has sparked the passion again as the latest pictures (hopefully) show.  Enjoy.
