It's hard to miss the Rheinturm in Düsseldorf. It's a 240 metre high tower situated on the Rhine, that sports the world's largest digital clock. Quite a few cities have communication towers similar to the Rheinturm, but this one has the most fantastic colours at night. Combined with the lights of the "clock" - you'd have to be told how to read it - it is certainly one of the more impressive structures.
Of course I took several shots of the Rheinturm during the day in lovely light from close up, far away and somewhere in between. We had finished off taking quite a few shots and were heading back to the car when I spotted another photographer tripodded up and shooting the creamy coloured building (a pretty fantastic thing in its own right) - Stepping much further back I could see the line of the office lights lining up perfectly with the top of the tower. How had he missed that!
Alas I was without the trusty tripod, so a bit of hand holding against a lamppost while standing on a bin got me the perfect angle and the shot was in the bag.
