While holidaying in Düsseldorf with my good friend who is currently working there, we were treated to quite a few walks by the Rhine (usually at night because of his working hours)  Düsseldorf is a lovely place to visit. Its mostly free of tourists and is full of bold modern architecture.  Obviously this gives a great balance of keeping the other half happy at the shops, and getting the camera out. Perfect!

This abstract detail was a set of illuminated steps leading to an office building.  Just don't come to work in flip flops.
