A couple of miles from this spot lies Buachaille Etive Mhor, an amazing mountain range which admittedly has been photographed to death, but is spectacular none the less. My partner and I had waited for about two hours at the foot of Buachaille Etive for the late evening light to catch it. As the golden hour approached I watched in horror as the sun set far enough behind the mountain to leave its face in darkness! In a fit of panic (photography is a very stressful pasttime) we drove to a remote cottage which I had spotted earlier. This spot is also a photographers dream as the tiny cottage is dwarfed by the towering peaks. I managed to capture the cottage at the perfect time as it is highlit by a streak of golden light as the sun plunged behind the hills.
