What a weekend was had in april. The Scottish highlands were basked in glorious sunshine which made climbing a particularly steep hill to reach this lone tree a real treat.  While on holiday, you don't get to pick and choose your time to take photographs so this, and many of the other recent pictures, are much more contrasty that I would prefer, but hey - I'm not complaining!
