St Monans Windmill

St Monans Windmill

8th May 2005

I have a soft spot for Fife, having quite a number of family living there.  It's not too far from Edinburgh and has lush countryside and pretty coastal towns and St Monans is no exception.

This original windmill stands proudly looking out to see, overseeing the salt-pans it used to service. After walking the coastal path to Pittenweem (and back) and having a fine lunch I was determined to get an unusual photograph of the windmill. Thankfully the evening sky turned a beautiful pinkish purple and I managed to get 2 frames before the light faded.
