Time was running out before my photography evening class "here's what I've learned" slide show.  I had pre-planned to stand on this bridge and photograph the traffic trails with the glorious Edinburgh castle illuminated in the background.  The rain was incessant and it was very cold.  It wasn't until I stood on the bridge in the rain that I realised what an interesting shape it was and decided to get a few frames of it too.  The lights sparkling on the soaking ground really makes this shot. Thankfully I had my bunnet with me which I used to cover the camera - it was the only thing that remained dry!
