Yes, the sea is as close as it looks and I have the soggy socks to prove it. I must admit I am used to the North Sea and the dramatic rise and fall of the Atlantic came as quite a shock while holidaying in Cornwall. More than once I almost came a cropper, unaware of the mighty tide and dangerously flat beaches that have no way of breaking the oncoming waves.
I managed to get just one frame shot of the lovely green sea and dramatic stormy clouds before the sun plunged into darkness. This final stop at the Minack Theatre (high on the cliffs behind) completed a superb trip to the Lands End peninsula.
